self refiection

SELF REFLECTION

Today, volunteering has been an issue that sparks considerable debate amongst people because people are ignoring the volunteering and they have no idea about the benefits of this. I would talk about my self-reflection in the volunteering.
To begin with, I had volunteered with Takatof two events the first event was about city guard and i was helping the community by giving them information and explaining something could help Abu Dhabi effectively and make it one of the best cities in the world so I feel that I am one of the contributors. In addition I felt that I am really doing something for my community and I feel I am successful when I help .Also I learned how to deal with people from different nationalities and cultures.
In second event which called Malaria exhibition I was giving aware about the danger of this disease .What’s more, from this event I learned how to meet the important characters and how to help the people to avoid this disease. In general there are a multitude of experiences that I acquire form volunteering such as learning how to control any problem could I face it. Furthermore, strengthen the connection and the cooperation between me and the society and also I understudied how I should eliminate the leisure definitely by volunteering.

In the future, Volunteering give me self-esteem and make me more confident by myself so that will affect me to be creative person and to be patient to achieve accomplishments in the future. My supervisor was ignoring me when I want to volunteer and he don’t answer me so I had to be initiator to get what I want so that taught me that I must initiate to do something not to wait.

Third day

Third day :18-5-2014
The event: Malaria;blood, sweat and tears
location : Emirates palace
Time:3-10 p.m

In our third day volunteering with takatof there was less number of visitors than what was in the opining day .Some schools came to the exhibition such as the Elite private school and other schools.we discussed with our supervisor to work hard for introducing the danger of Malaria disease for the visitors.

Furthermore, there is a person asked me a question that I couldn't answer it so I had to ask the  supervisor because we have to answer him , I thought about searching on the internet but I couldn't because I was nervous. We explain the exhibition for the students to avoid the symptoms of Malaria disease.

I learned a lot of things in this volunteering because I wasn't knowing how the Malaria is dangerous in the developing countries and also I gained experiences such as how to deal with people from different countries and learned what is the value of volunteering on the community service. I would like to volunteer always with takatof because I found it so interesting and teach me a lot of thing. What's more, when we help our community without return that make us successful people and showing that the life does not  depend only  in the money and the return.

The first job that we did, is distributing brochures for  a big number of people to deliver them the idea of this app, I faced something that i didn't like when I was giving the people the brochures which that some people were ignoring me when I want to help them by giving them information about this application but some of them are really wanting to know about that so I was curious and excited to explain everything for them. While we give the visitors the good idea about this app. Also we taught them how to use the app and publish any case  by using any device.

Finally , I feel happy when I see the people understanding the app and how they are excited about it.

I was explaining for this visitor how to use the app and how to submit a case.

Here I was giving him the brochure and I was waiting for any question to help him with
the information.
